主宰するBrownswood Recordingから
数々のニューカマーを発掘してきた
大人気のコンピレーションシリーズ、
『BROWNSWOOD BUBBLERS』シリーズは
有名ですが、今回新たにBrownswoodから
Gillesの右腕、左腕と呼ばれる
London在住のフランス人DJ/Producer Simbadと
ベルギー在住DJ/Producer Leftoの二人が
世界中から集めたエクスクルーシブ
27曲入りCD2枚組コンピレーションが12月発売予定。


日本からはGrooveman Spot、
DO UR THINGでもプレイしたOnraや
Greymatterの名前も。

このコンピはBubblersと比べると
生音バンド系が少なめで
Simbadがdubstep,UK Funky寄りで
LeftoがHip Hop,Beatモノが多いのかな。

If you want to offer a panoramic view of a certain genre—or several—in an album format, the best option is to find a credited insider (in this case, two) of the scene in question to select the content. It could’ve been Gilles Peterson, the boss, the brain behind the WorldWide label, but he’s a generous guy and so he assigned Belgium’s LeFtO and Londoner Simbad to the job. Lefto and Simbad are the curators of a compilation album featuring 27 exclusive tracks oscillating between nu-soul, post-dubstep, future punk and abstract beatmaking. Honoring it’s name and overall spirit, the compilation includes artists from the United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, the U.S., France, Japan, Turkey, Croatia, Austria and Puerto Rico just to name a few, a reflection of the sonic melting pop that defines WorldWide. The album will be released in early December (no definite date as yet) via Brownswood Records, Peterson’s label.
